If you ever find yourself wondering why I went quiet for a while you are welcome to continue reading this post.

The very first reason is SCHOOL. Form three, in Zimbabwe, is a big jump from form two, where one was able to attain a decent grade from simply cramming at the very last minute. Short-term “study” methods like that in form three can be likened to commiting suicide. You are setting yourself up for failure. As you can imagine the beginning was very difficult but eventually I found a balance and though it took nearly the whole year, I’m back at it with my online journal.

Secondly I got so caught up with what people had to say. My blog was overridden by the opinions of the dear population of this here planet, I am guilty of caring too much about what everyone think and as a result my blog suffered. That brings us to the title, “Who cares, I don’t.”

I do not think people understand the extent of this “Caring too much about what people think.” Each blog post that was uploaded was momentarily followed by me sheepishly switching my phone off and wondering if I’d said something wrong. Certain individuals would come to mind
“What will they think when they read this.”
“Let me delete the post.”
“Let me leave the country.”
“Its the end of the world Zothile.”

The reason why I still haven’t deleted my whole blog from the face of the web is that eventually it dawns on me that the world doesn’t revolve around me. I’d like to believe that people are too busy with their own lives to care.

Secondly my sister helped me realise that it doesn’t have to be that way. The sole purpose of my blog is for ME to express my views and enjoy myself while doing so, so I should not be interested in everybody else’s “two cents”
Like almost everything on earth, my blog is subject to people’s opinions and that is alright.
Say what you may, who cares?

I DON’T, well not anymore.

“To avoid criticism, say nothing,do nothing, be nothing.” -Elbert Hubbard

Not caring should apply to your daily life, you should not constantly be looking from side to side seeking approval from every being before taking steps forward, you’ll remain stuck for eternity. With whatever you hear you have the option to take it as a grain of salt. Do whatever you want to do, as long as it’s not detrimental to your wellbeing or a serious offence to someone’s else’s existence. Stay woke.
